Creating a proposal is a professional way to provide costing information to your client, and ensure accuracy in your pricing.

When you do this well, it establishes your value and authority as a builder and gives clear information on all the inclusions (and exclusions) in your pricing.

Many builders are still providing terribly formatted, or quotes with minimal information. Homeowners find this difficult to trust, and then want to ‘compare apples with apples’. Sometimes getting a quote feels like a builder simply threw a dart at a board, and it’s challenging for homeowners to understand exactly what they’ll get for their money.

When you create a comprehensive proposal, you show you understand their project, and give a client confidence you’re being thorough and diligent in assessing the cost of building or renovating their home. It’s a marketing document, not simply for costing.

Download an example Proposal below – this Proposal example has been created using QuoteSpec. It’s for a real project, however any personal client details have been removed.
