13:45:09 From Travis Griffiths : I do smaller renovations that don’t require huge amounts of pre construction. can PAC still work for me?
13:45:21 From Rebecca Bishop : A few familiar faces here: Hi Travis, Dave, Sam, Matt, Matt, Greg, Paul, Ed, Scott. Great to see you! 🙂
13:45:30 From Travis Griffiths : hi BEc
13:45:58 From Radius Matt : Hey Bek! Congrats on the HIA Housing mag article. Great read.
13:45:59 From Paul Westwood : 😁
13:49:10 From Latimer Building : who would take the lead in the consultant group?
13:52:28 From Dave Maurer : Would you gear these prelim agreements so as they don’t trigger the $10k trigger for a major domestic building contract?
13:52:37 From Justin and Sandra : If we don’t engage for eg engineers even though we are talking with them to organise the project, how to we ensure the client is paying the engineers on time (to our satisfaction) and not stuffing our engineers around? We want to maintain good relationships with the engineers.
13:53:39 From Rebecca Bishop : That’s a good question from Dave. We always had our prelims at $9900 and we did all the work, we retained everyone and were responsible for it all.
13:56:18 From Rebecca Bishop : So if we use a Preliminary Agreement – we are only supposed to take no more than 10% for the deposit – we currently don’t use a prelim agreement for the PAC Process – just a separate agreement
13:57:47 From Radius Matt : Fine
13:58:10 From Mitch (Master Computer) : Love it =)
13:58:11 From Radius Matt : Because it’s a process and people appreciate that
13:58:37 From Greg Alexander : I think it will work well
13:58:39 From Melanie : It’s about educating them strigh up I guess
13:59:12 From Luke Doecke : it feels great. I had a 2 min phone call last night and said we’ll send you our enquiry form. They said that’s fine. Saves so much time.
14:02:32 From Travis Griffiths : What about referrals? do you still direct to the questionnaire
14:02:33 From Melanie : I’m really only just starting out with clients, having built a few spec homes to this point. I’ve just had my first client approach me for a major reno. I’ve had only one meeting and verbally brought up the concept of paying for my involvement in “design and value management”. The enquiry form and fee
proposal is the next step.
14:04:29 From chrisfroggatt : Thanks!
