In Module 04 Webinar, we discussed some of the tools you can use in your business for marketing. Here are links and information as mentioned …
-
CANVA is a great graphic design tool you can use for everything from social media posts to Zoom backgrounds. There’s are pre-designed templates you can customise, or you can start from scratch using the right image size for what you want to produce. You can upload your own photos, and also use a range of stock images and items. There’s a free level, or you can upgrade to include other features.
-
WORDSWAG is an app that helps you create interesting text images for your social media. It’s free to use, and you can do it all from your phone. I use this when wanting to make some text look good, and call attention to the post – and then I expand on what the text is referring to in the post description.
-
MOJO is great for instagram templates you can customise, and has some animated versions as well.
-
REV.COM is a transcription tool where you can upload video or audio and have it captioned, or have a transcript created. It’s $1.25 USD per minute and done by a real person, usually within a 24 hour turnaround time – and generally 99% accurate. 85% of videos on FB are watched with the sound off … so if you’re creating a video that you waant to send people to … say something that gives a step-by-step guide to the PAC Process … you might want to caption it. Lots of women will watch videos on their phone in bed with the sound off whilst their partner is sleeping!
-
OTTER.AI is a monthly subscription service for transcription – and there’s a free level as well. It’s done by a computer, so not as accurate, but it does learn over time.
-
CONTINUAL takes any video and breaks it into 15 second chunks so you can post it to Instagram stories. If your video is less than 1 min long, Instagram stories will automatically split it this way – but if it’s longer, you can use Continual instead. (There’s a Google Play version called Story Cutter).
-
INSHOT is an app that enables you to do video editing on your phone. So you can drop in cover images, combine videos etc, and then export to post elsewhere.
-
You’ve got to be really careful, especially on your website or marketing material, to not use copyrighted images. So PEXELS and UNSPLASH are great resources for royalty free stock photography you can use.
-
Fiverr, Upwork and Airtasker are all places you can get low cost help from real humans. FIVERR is literally a range of services, pretty much anything you can imagine, that people will do for $5 USD. UPWORK and AIRTASKER are where you can advertise for specific tasks or people, and get people applying for your work. Airtasker is more Aussie based.
-
And MAILCHIMP and ACTIVECAMPAIGN are useful email tools to use for building your email list and sending out regular email newsletters, as well as creating email nurture sequences you follow potential clients up with over a set period of time. Sending emails from services like these help you avoid breaking Australian spam laws.
