Revisiting the Counselling Process (From a Client Perspective) with Kurt Everard, TIACS
Venturing into counselling for the first time (or any time) can be daunting and overwhelming.
This reality is compounded by the fact that there is real uncertainty in what is to happen within these counselling sessions.
There may be a surface level understanding of the process but sometimes this ambiguity can steer people away from taking part or encouraging others to do so.
To address this, we will revisit and expand the conversation that we had in a previous training call about the counselling process from a TIACS perspective. You can watch the earlier session here.
Kurt will provide a general overview and delve deeper to provide you with a more nuanced understanding of what happens within the counselling space with hopes that it gives you the confidence to reach out or encourage someone else to do so.
Learning Objectives: from this session, you will learn about:
1. Gain a more nuanced understanding of what occurs within counselling sessions
2. Understand the factors that hold someone back from engaging with a counsellor
