Understanding the Impact and Manifestations of Trauma with Kurt Everard, TIACS
What comes to mind when you hear the word ‘trauma’?
Many people’s minds go automatically towards war and conflict which is fair, but this is only one of several examples. There are numerous factors that can contribute to an event or situation being traumatic and this is compounded by the fact that, like loss and grief, it can manifest incredibly differently from person-to-person.
With this in mind, it is time that we discuss the reality of trauma with the aim of providing you with an increased awareness of how it can arise, how it can be responded to and how one can heal and/or grow following this.
